Last week, WeFIX attended an online job fair for Service leavers and veterans organised by RAJA, the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Association Job Agency. Other organisations represented including Veolia, Serco, and The UK Atomic Energy Authority.
The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) are the British Army’s premier pool of technical and engineering experts, and RAJA supports their personnel in finding sustainable employment post-military service.
Austin Sharp, Managing Director of WeFIX says: “As a company, attracting the best employees and sub-contractors as possible is one of our priorities as we look to expand and grow. We also try to give back to society, and supporting veterans allows us to meet both of these objectives. While we help those who served us in uniform enter meaningful and sustainable employment, we are also able to benefit from the technical skills and attributes they develop in the armed forces.”
Warrant Officer Class 1 Craig Ham, RAJA Engineering Retention and Resettlement Consultant says: “The Royal and Electrical and Mechanical Engineers is committed to supporting its personnel through and past their time in uniform. We are proud to do everything we can to support a successful transition into civilian life, and recognise that sustainable employment is key to this. Ultimately, RAJA exists to connect REME service leavers, veterans and reservists with prospective employers, so we always welcome new industry partners such as WeFIX.”
